Saraswathi Samskrithi Kendram

Saraswathi Samskrithi Kendram is an Educational Resource centre at a tribal village. The centre will have classes on weekends from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. All the children of the village in the age group 5-15 years attend the classes. There is a trained instructor for each centre. The centre aims to equip children with better knowledge and understanding of their academic subjects. They are also taught many aspects our heritage and tradition like slokas, cultural values and Bhagavad Gita. Stories, games, drama and other activities abound in the teaching programme. The students are motivated to learn more and achieve more in their curricular and co-curricular activities. There is a regular training programme for instructors to equip them with the subjects needed for running the centre. There is an annual training programme and refresher and review meetings every month. There are Saraswathi Samskrithi Kendrams in 30 tribal villages. The programme is supported by Tribal Integrated Development and Education (TIDE) Trust, Mumbai and Bharatheeya Vidyanikethan.
